The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Captain Abhimanyu, a prominent leader from Haryana, as the election incharge for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Assam. This decision was made by BJP’s National president JP Nadda and announced through the party’s official handles. Alongside Captain Abhimanyu, 17 other BJP leaders have been appointed as election incharge in 12 other States and Union territories.

The Lok Sabha elections of 2024 are slated to commence from April 19, spanning seven phases across the nation. Currently, the filing of nomination papers by candidates contesting in the second phase of the elections is in progress.
