Amidst the vibrant ambiance of the Tiwa Cultural Festival at Tiwa Fa Indraching Deuri Khetra in Morigaon, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma graced the occasion as the guest of honour during its closing ceremony.
The festival, held by the Tiwa Autonomous Council in collaboration with various Tiwa organisations, served as a platform to display the cultural richness of the Tiwa community.
CM Himanta appreciated the efforts of the reception committee for their dedication to preserving the Tiwa culture and fostering cultural dialogue throughout the three-day event.
Sharing the glimpses from the celebration, CM Himanta expressed, “Had a wonderful time at the Tiwa Cultural Festival today. Celebrating the rich tapestry of the community, it brings together a diverse section of society closer to its traditions. Loved the exquisite red jacket, symbolising the community’s beautiful handloom.”
