Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda released the party’s manifesto for the Sikkim Assembly Election at Gangtok on Thursday. The manifesto is titled – Modi Ki Guarantee: Viksit Bharat Viksit Sikkim.

Key highlights of BJP’s Sikkim manifesto:
- Safeguard the essence and the substance and the spirit of 371F.
- Sikkim Gati Shakti Master Plan’ to ensure multi-modal infrastructure development and coordinated implementation of critical projects of roadways, railways and airways.
- Earmark a corpus worth Rs. 500 crore for the Agri-Infra Mission.
- Creation of 25,000 job opportunities in Sikkim for women and youth in the next 5 years.
- Establish women-led and women-run Amma Community Canteens, which will provide subsidised food to people.
- Revamp the agricultural infrastructure to benefit farmers and ensure overall prosperity in the State of Sikkim.
- In collaboration with the Central Government, establish a world-class IIM.
- Establish the National Institute of Design in Sikkim.
- For the youth and tourism boost in the State, BJP will establish an Institute of Hotel Management in Sikkim.
- Under the PM-KISAN Yojana, the farmers will get annual cash benefit worth Rs. 9,000 in place of Rs. 6,000 at present.
- Establish the Regional Institute for Medical Sciences in Sikkim.
- Empower women in the State by making 15,000 Lakhpati Didis.
Launching an attack at the Congress, Nadda said, “The erstwhile governments believed in isolation and ignorance. They wanted to keep the people isolated, ignore them and increase their vote bank politics. This was the style of functioning of the Congress party and other parties. But when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he said – Look East, Act East, Act Fast and Act First.”
