Rupa Bayor, a promising athlete from Arunachal Pradesh, is all set to showcase her skills on the international stage as she will represent Bharat at the 8th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championship.
Scheduled to take place in Vietnam from May 14 to 15, 2024, this championship marks a significant opportunity for Bayor to demonstrate Bharat’s growing prominence in the global taekwondo arena.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, expressing his delight, took to his X handle and wrote, “So happy to share that Rupa Bayor will proudly represent Bharat at 8th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championship being held in Vietnam from May 14 to 15, 2024. In addition to Bayor’s participation, athletes from Arunachal Pradesh have recently brought honour to the State at the National Badminton Championship in Panipat, Haryana. Among them, Toko Takum secured the gold medal in the Under-30 men’s category, while Likha Deechum showcased her talent by clinching both gold and silver medals in the under 14 and under 17 girls’ categories.
