During a rally in Gujarat’s Anand district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that Pakistan desires him to be the next Prime Minister to ensure a feeble government in Bharat. PM Modi asserted, “In Bharat, the Congress party is weakening, meaning that even with a microscope, it’s becoming difficult to find the party. But the interesting part is that while the Congress is dying here, Pakistan is crying there. Pakistani politicians are ‘praying’ for the Congress. Pakistan is eager to make the ‘shehzada’ (referring to Rahul Gandhi) the Prime Minister.”
Highlighting the alleged closeness between Congress and Pakistan, PM Modi stated, “We all know that the Congress is Pakistan’s ‘murid’ (admirer). The partnership between Pakistan and Congress has now been exposed.” He further claimed that adversaries of the nation prefer a vulnerable government in Bharat, citing instances like the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and past corruption scandals.
PM Modi highlighted the strength of his government, stating, “Modi’s strong government neither bows nor is stopped. And that’s why the world is saying that only Bharat can accelerate the development of the world.”
Gujarat, known as the stronghold of the BJP, is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections on May 7, with 25 out of 26 parliamentary seats up for grabs. The BJP secured all 26 seats in the last two general elections. In a peculiar turn of events, BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal was elected ‘unopposed’ in Surat after the nomination papers of Congress candidate Nilesh Kumbhani were rejected due to discrepancies in the proposers’ affidavits.
