Mizoram’s economic trajectory takes a promising turn as the State witnesses a notable 52 per cent increase in Goods and Services Tax or GST collection for April, as revealed by Chief Minister Lalduhoma.
In a statement Lalduhoma unveiled Mizoram’s robust performance with GST revenue soaring to Rs 108 crore in April this year, a significant leap from Rs 71 crore collected during the corresponding period last year. This remarkable surge underscores the State’s commitment and effective strategies in revenue augmentation.
The CM attributed this impressive feat to the concerted efforts of Mizoram’s Finance, Planning, and Taxation departments. Their unwavering dedication to excellence and efficacy in revenue mobilisation has played a pivotal role in driving Mizoram’s economic advancement and fiscal resilience.
As Mizoram continues to strengthen its revenue streams and cultivate an environment conducive to business growth, it reaffirms its position as a prominent player in the region’s economic scenario.
