Addressing the media earlier, CM Himanta claimed half of the State’s Muslim people have already voted for the BJP in constituencies which went to polling in the first and second phase, attributing this support to the perceived benefits of the BJP’s developmental agenda.
With the spotlight on constituencies like Barpeta and Guwahati, CM Himanta has actively campaigned for BJP allies in these regions.
During a rally in Barpeta, the CM launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, contrasting his leadership with that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted the achievements under PM Modi’s governance, particularly amid the Covid pandemic.
