BRO India is celebrating a significant milestone as the Sela Tunnel receives official recognition as Bharat’s highest tunnel by the prestigious International Book of Honour, England.
Stretching 2.598 kilometres in length and positioned at an altitude of 13,000 feet on the Tezpur-Tawang Road, the Sela Tunnel stands as a testament to BRO India’s engineering prowess. Its construction ensures uninterrupted connectivity to the strategically vital Tawang Region throughout the year.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister took to his X handle to express his delight, stating, “I’m thrilled to learn that the International Book of Honour, England, has acknowledged the Sela Tunnel as the highest in the country. This 2.598-km marvel by BRO India, situated at an altitude of 13,000 ft on the Tezpur-Tawang road, greatly enhances connectivity in the strategic region of Arunachal Pradesh.”
