Highlighting the significance of Assam’s lush tea gardens, CM Himanta emphasised the indispensable contribution of the workers. He took to the microblogging site X to convey his gratitude, stating, “Wherever you are in the world, when you sip your cup of tea in the morning, it’s most likely from the lush tea gardens of Assam, delivering freshness to you. On International Tea Day, we celebrate our tea garden workers and their hard work, which we are committed to incentivising.”
