Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally, asserted the upcoming Lok Sabha election is not just about electing Members of Parliament but choosing a Prime Minister capable of showcasing Bharat’s strength on the global stage. He criticised the INDIA alliance, labelling it as “communal, casteist, and dynastic”.
Highlighting the significance of the election, PM Modi stated, “The election is to elect the country’s Prime Minister. Your vote is so powerful that it is going to elect the PM. Bharat’s PM should be someone, who can project the capability of this strong country before the world.”
PM Modi, who is seeking a third consecutive term, outlined the achievements of his government, claiming that Bharat’s esteem has risen internationally over the past decade under his leadership. He portrayed himself as a tireless worker dedicated to the nation’s development.
“In these 2024 elections, on one hand, there is Modi who is working hard for all of you 24 hours, and on the other hand, there is the INDIA alliance, which lies to you. On one side, there is Modi who is working 24/7 to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047, and on the other hand, there is this INDIA alliance, which has no work… this INDIA alliance is busy abusing Modi,” he remarked.
The PM accused the Opposition of prioritising their families over national interest. “These people of the INDIA alliance are communal, casteist, dynasts,” he asserted.
PM Modi criticised the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) by mocking its election symbol. “This is the era of LED bulbs, and people in Bihar are roaming around with a lantern. This lantern has spread darkness all over Bihar,” he said.
The Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases, concluding on June 1. The sixth phase of voting took place on Saturday.
