In an impressive feat, 206 candidates, among them five women, have triumphed in the Common Entrance Exam (CEE) for Agniveer recruitment in Meghalaya.
The announcement, conveyed through a tweet from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Meghalaya, hailed the candidates’ success and extended heartfelt wishes for their forthcoming physical test scheduled for January 2025.
The Agniveer program, an integral part of the Agnipath initiative launched by the Central Government, offers candidates an opportunity to serve in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force for a four-year term.
Introduced on June 14, 2022, and put into action in September 2022, the Agnipath scheme represents a significant paradigm shift in military recruitment, emphasising short-term service over traditional long-term commitments and pensions.
The Chief Minister’s Office underscored the pivotal role of the pre-recruitment coaching program, conducted under the CM’s Special Grant in collaboration with the Zila Sainik Welfare Office, in grooming the candidates for success.
This initiative has reportedly played a vital role in arming candidates with requisite skills and knowledge, significantly enhancing their performance in the entrance exam.
The successful candidates are now set to advance to the physical test phase, a crucial segment of the Agniveer recruitment process.
In its post, the CMO lauded the dedication and perseverance exhibited by the candidates, expressing profound pride in their accomplishments.
