The Indian Army has announced the second phase of its Agnipath Scheme recruitment process, targeting nine districts in Upper Assam. The Agniveer recruitment rally will take place from July 15 to 20 at the Jaswant Singh Stadium in Tezpur, covering the districts of Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Sivasagar, and Tinsukia.
Candidates, who have been shortlisted for this phase can download their admit cards from the official departmental website. The Army has designed the recruitment process to be seamless and efficient, ensuring a fair and transparent selection of candidates.
Highlighting the integrity of the recruitment process, the Army has urged candidates not to engage with any middlemen, assuring them that the selection will be conducted with the highest standards of fairness.
The initial phase of the Agnipath Scheme included an online entrance examination conducted nationwide in April and May 2024. The results of this examination, listing the shortlisted candidates, have been published on the official Indian Army website, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Under the Agnipath Scheme, those selected, known as Agniveers, will serve for four years. After this period, up to 25 percent of Agniveers will have the opportunity to join the Armed Forces as a regular cadre, based on organisational needs and policies.
