Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has fulfilled his pledge to provide financial assistance to Rajesh Chhetri, a disabled individual, by approving a monthly aid of Rs 1,250. The decision highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting persons with disabilities across the State.
The announcement was made by CM Himanta on his social media platform, reaffirming the state’s commitment to ensuring the welfare of disabled citizens. Several days ago, the CM had personally met with Chhetri and assured him of ongoing financial support from the government.
pic.twitter.com/v3cbRQwAWb

The approved financial aid project ensures that Chhetri will receive the monthly amount directly credited to his bank account, starting from July 10. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burdens faced by disabled individuals and enhance their quality of life through consistent government assistance.
