Rabindra Bhawan, an iconic cultural landmark in Assam capital Guwahati, is set to undergo a comprehensive ₹111 crore renovation aimed at revitalising its infrastructure to meet contemporary standards.
For decades, Rabindra Bhawan has served as a focal point for cultural and artistic activities in the city, hosting a wide range of programs.
The ambitious project will include the construction of a new 2B+ G + 5 structure covering approximately 1,58,786 sqft. This modern complex will feature a 500-seated main auditorium, complemented by multiple smaller auditoriums to accommodate diverse performances and events.
Additionally, the facility will house art galleries, a black box theatre, and a cutting-edge recording studio.
Incorporating facilities for office spaces, guest rooms, and extensive parking, the renovated Rabindra Bhawan aims to enhance the overall experience for visitors and organisers alike, ensuring it remains a vibrant cultural hub for years to come.
