The signing ceremony, held at the BTC Secretariat in Kokrajhar and graced by BTC Chief Executive Member or CEM Pramod Boro, is part of the Vibrant BTR Budget for 2024-2025. Highlighting the significance of this partnership, CEM Boro highlighted its role in creating a future of dignity and opportunity for BTR’s specially-abled youth.
Central to the agreement is the establishment of a residential training program at ITI Dhauliguri in Kokrajhar. This program will offer specialised courses including Computer Operator and Programming Assistant or COPA, multimedia, and secretarial practice tailored for disabled youth. Plans are underway to extend these vocational training opportunities across all ITIs in BTR.
Moreover, the collaboration aims to enhance District Early Intervention Centres and educational institutions with technical guidance. This initiative seeks to ensure a promising future for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and Children with Special Needs (CWNs), providing those pathways to productive and dignified lives.
