Highlighting Assam’s comprehensive environmental strategy, CM Himanta referenced initiatives like the Amrit Brikshya Andolan aimed at significantly augmenting the State’s green cover. “We are launching an extensive green drive Statewide, which will yield visible results in the days ahead,” affirmed Himanta Biswa Samra.
This initiative aligns with growing national and global concerns regarding deforestation’s adverse effects on climate change, emphasising the urgency of collective action in environmental preservation.
