“Planting seeds for a Greener Future,” mentioned CM Himanta, asserting Assam’s commitment to environmental conservation. He encouraged residents to take initiative by planting trees in their local areas as it is “the most effective way to combat climate change.”

Highlighting Assam’s comprehensive environmental strategy, CM Himanta referenced initiatives like the Amrit Brikshya Andolan aimed at significantly augmenting the State’s green cover. “We are launching an extensive green drive Statewide, which will yield visible results in the days ahead,” affirmed Himanta Biswa Samra.
This initiative aligns with growing national and global concerns regarding deforestation’s adverse effects on climate change, emphasising the urgency of collective action in environmental preservation.
