Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma’s crucial innings of 92 against Australia in the Super 8 stage contributed to his rise by 2 places, finishing at 36.
The duo announced their retirements immediately after Bharat’s victory, with Kohli making his decision known during the post-match presentation ceremony and Rohit Sharma following suit in a press conference.
