Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu recently inaugurated a cutting-edge FIFA Standard Artificial Turf Football Ground at the Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium in Tawang. This significant event was celebrated with an inaugural match between Monyul FC and MLA XI, attended by distinguished guests including MLAs Namgey Tsering and Tseten Chombay, former MLA Tsering Tashi, and 190 Mtn Brigade Commander Brig VS Rajput.

The newly launched facility, complete with a running track, symbolises a major leap forward in sports infrastructure for the region. Managed by the Tawang Olympic Association, the stadium aims to ignite the passion of sports enthusiasts and nurture local talent. CM Khandu highlighted the stadium’s role in promoting a vibrant sports culture across Arunachal Pradesh.
The stadium, complete with a track, will fuel the passion of sports enthusiasts and nurture talent in our region. The Tawang Olympic Association will manage the facility, unlocking its full potential.
