The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Mizoram has recorded an impressive 86.7 7per cent overall placement rate for the 2023-2024 academic session, according to institute sources. This achievement reflects the institute’s growing reputation for academic excellence and industry readiness.
The highest salary package secured this year is Rs 14.5 lakh per annum, with the average salary package exceeding Rs 7 lakh per annum. Over 75 companies participated in the recruitment drive, including renowned names such as Adobe, Deloitte, Vedanta, L&T, Ashok Leyland, Lumiq.AI, Bajaj Capital, Shadowfax, Scaledge Technology, Mahindra & Mahindra, KEC International, and Alstom.
These top-tier recruiters have shown significant trust in NIT Mizoram’s academic rigor and the innovative capabilities of its students, resulting in a successful and dynamic placement season.
Shristi Sharma, a student placed at Deloitte, expressed her gratitude, stating, “Their hard work and dedication have paid off immensely, and I am thrilled to share that I have been placed at Deloitte.”
ECE graduate Nishant Nitin Mishra, who received four job offers from Scaledge Technology, Eldaas Technology, SemiFront, and Vicharak, said, “Thanks to the excellent support provided by the Training and Placement office of NIT Mizoram, I received multiple offers and accepted a position at Scaledge Technology. Proud to be an NIT Mizoram alumnus.”
Building on the success of the previous placement record, over 90.7 per cent of NIT Mizoram students for the 2024-2025 academic session have already secured internships with reputed companies.
Additionally, around 30 students are undertaking research internships at various IITs, including IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Patna, IIT Bhilai, IIT BHU, IIT Roorkee, IIT Indore, and IIT Hyderabad. Notably, 10 students joined IIT Madras for summer internships, with seven participating in the Direct PhD exchange program under an agreement with the institute.
A total of nine students joined the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) through another agreement. Recently, NIT Mizoram signed a deal with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) to further enhance training and placement activities.
This exceptional placement performance underscores NIT Mizoram’s commitment to academic excellence and its role in shaping industry-ready professionals.
