In a strategic move following the party’s remarkable performance in Kerala during the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP leadership has entrusted key national-level responsibilities to V Muraleedharan and Anil Antony, while continuing to place its confidence in Prakash Javadekar as the Kerala prabhari.
BJP president JP Nadda announced that V Muraleedharan will serve as the party’s joint coordinator for Northeastern States, and Anil Antony has been appointed in-charge of Nagaland and Meghalaya. Additionally, Puri MP Sambit Patra will take on the role of coordinator for northeastern states, and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi has been named the co-in-charge for Kerala, assisting Javadekar.
The party also revealed the appointments of in-charges and co-in-charges for various other states, including poll-bound Haryana and Jharkhand, as well as the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP State president K Surendran welcomed the decision, expressing optimism about the positive impact these appointments will have on future election results. “Javadekar’s experience has already helped us win our first Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. Aparajita Sarangi played a key role in BJP’s massive victory in Odisha. Their support and expertise will be invaluable in achieving better results in the upcoming elections,” he posted on X.
These strategic appointments reflect the BJP’s commitment to strengthening its presence and performance across various regions, leveraging the experience and capabilities of its leaders to achieve significant electoral successes.
