Russian President Vladimir Putin will host a private dinner for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his two-day visit to Moscow, set to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. During the visit, PM Modi will also engage with the Indian community in Russia and tour the Kremlin.
Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra highlighted the close communication between the two leaders, which has continued since their informal meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in 2022.
“The 21st annual summit was held in New Delhi in December 2021. The leaders met again in September 2022 in Samarkand during the SCO summit in Uzbekistan. They have stayed in regular contact through numerous phone calls,” Kwatra noted.
The visit will begin with initial talks between PM Modi and President Putin, followed by broader discussions at the delegation level. These talks will cover a thorough review of the extensive ties between Bharat and Russia.
