This allocation marks the realisation of a longstanding demand that BJP Sikkim has persistently pursued with the central leadership.
The decision to establish the medical college was a cornerstone of BJP Sikkim’s electoral promises, asserting its crucial importance to the local populace. During JP Nadda’s visit to Sikkim, BJP leaders briefed him extensively on this critical issue, emphasising its pivotal role in advancing healthcare infrastructure in the region.
BJP Sikkim president Dr Thapa expressed profound satisfaction with the swift decision made by the Health Ministry. “We are extremely pleased with the expeditious action taken by the Health Ministry in support of Sikkim,” he affirmed.
