In a significant development, the Sikkim Bharatiya Janata Party unit has conveyed heartfelt thanks to Union Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda for the recent allocation of a new medical college to the State. This allocation marks the realisation of a longstanding demand that BJP Sikkim has persistently pursued with the central leadership.
The decision to establish the medical college was a cornerstone of BJP Sikkim’s electoral promises, asserting its crucial importance to the local populace. During JP Nadda’s visit to Sikkim, BJP leaders briefed him extensively on this critical issue, emphasising its pivotal role in advancing healthcare infrastructure in the region.
BJP Sikkim president Dr Thapa expressed profound satisfaction with the swift decision made by the Health Ministry. “We are extremely pleased with the expeditious action taken by the Health Ministry in support of Sikkim,” he affirmed.
The newly approved medical college is set to significantly improve healthcare services in Sikkim, enhancing medical education opportunities and improving overall healthcare delivery to the people of the State.
