Samagra Shiksha Assam clinched the prestigious ‘Gold Award’ at the National Awards for e-Governance 2023-24. Recognised for its groundbreaking initiative, Shiksha Setu Axom project excelled in the category of Government Process Re-engineering for Digital Transformation.
The accolade not only includes a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh for the department but also certificates for up to four team members, including the Project Head.
Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded Samagra Shiksha Assam’s achievement on social media.
His post on X expressed, “Heartiest congratulations to Samagra Shiksha Assam on winning the prestigious ‘Gold Award’ at the National Awards for e-Governance 2023-24 for their outstanding project Shiksha Setu Axom! This recognition underscores the Assam Government’s commitment to digitising services, promoting transparency, and revitalising the education sector.”

The award ceremony will take place during the 27th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG), scheduled for August 8 to 9, at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai, Maharashtra. The event will gather dignitaries and stakeholders involved in advancing e-Governance initiatives nationwide.
