Today, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with officials from the Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Culture Department to discuss plans for the Chief Minister’s Museum. The museum will emulate the Prime Minister’s Museum, highlighting the rich heritage and contributions of Assam’s leaders.
The meeting concluded with the decision to form an expert committee comprising museum specialists, academicians, historians, and architects. Under CM Himanta’s guidance, this committee will visit the PM’s Museum to gather insights and consult with its curators, aiming to develop a detailed plan for the new museum based on comprehensive study and research.
CM Himanta accentuated the project’s significance in preserving Assam’s cultural and historical legacy. “The Chief Minister’s Museum will provide a platform to showcase the significant contributions of Assam’s leaders to our State’s development and cultural heritage,” he stated.
The committee’s visits and consultations are expected to yield a thorough plan for the museum’s creation.
