Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has unveiled a transformative vision for education in the State, highlighting the creation of a robust framework for quality learning. Bringing to light significant progress under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram, he announced the construction of 21 Model Residential Schools in minority areas. Currently, nine schools have been completed, with 12 more in various stages of development.
“Our goal is to establish an atmosphere conducive to top-notch education across Assam,” affirmed the CM.
In minority districts, these schools are set to be pivotal in expanding educational access and enhancing learning outcomes.
Completed projects include Majuligarh in Biswanath, Borsola in Sonitpur, Bezara in Kamrup, Barkhetri in Nalbari, Kalgachia in Barpeta, Hatidhura in Kokrajhar, Golakganj in Dhubri, and Batadrova in Nagaon, highlighting the commitment to educational excellence in Assam’s diverse communities.
