The wait is over for movie enthusiasts as The Perfect Couple’s trailer has been released. Netflix’s mystery drama, based on Elin Hilderbrand’s 2018 novel, stars Nicole Kidman as renowned novelist Greer Garrison. The impressive cast also features Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, Meghann Fahy, and Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter.
The trailer reveals the story of Greer Garrison Winbury (Nicole Kidman), whose son Benji (Billy Howle) is set to marry Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson). The plot thickens with a murder, numerous suspects, and a classic whodunnit scenario. Ishaan Khatter plays Shooter Dival, Benji’s best friend, making a brief appearance at the trailer’s end.
Netflix US’s official Instagram shared the trailer with the caption, “The perfect family. The perfect facade. THE PERFECT COUPLE is coming September 5. Starring Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Meghann Fahy, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, Ishaan Khatter, Billy Howle, and Jack Reynor.”
Ishaan Khatter also shared the trailer on social media, writing, “Just a tease.” Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar responded with, “Woohoo! Looks so good.” Ishaan’s rumoured girlfriend, model Chandni Bainz, commented, “What a tease(r),” and added on her Instagram stories, “Can’t wait Ishaan Khatter.” Meanwhile, Ishaan’s sister-in-law Mira Rajput praised him on her Instagram story, saying, “Solid! Ishaan Khatter, so proud of you. You won brother.”
Directed by Susanne Bier, The Perfect Couple will premiere on Netflix on September 5. This series marks Ishaan Khatter’s second international project, following Netflix’s British miniseries A Suitable Boy.
