Manipur authorities have strengthened security by establishing 125 checkpoints throughout the State’s hill and valley districts. These measures have resulted in the detention of 97 individuals for various infractions.
Security forces have conducted comprehensive search operations and area domination exercises in vulnerable and fringe regions of both hill and valley areas. These efforts are aimed at maintaining law and order while safeguarding the residents.
In addition, the transportation of essential items has been prioritised, with 58 vehicles travelling along NH-37 and 305 vehicles along NH-2 under tight security measures.
Authorities have implemented stringent security protocols at all vulnerable points and provided security convoys on sensitive stretches to ensure the safe passage of vehicles carrying essential goods.
