Assam has consistently ranked as the top performer in resolving public grievances for the past three years, stated Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. In a post on X, he mentioned this achievement as a reflection of his government’s dedication to addressing citizens’ concerns effectively.
“Happy to note that for the last 3 years, Assam continues to be a top performer State in resolving public grievances. A testament to our government’s ability to have its feet and ear to the ground. We will continue to work until our mechanism is the best in class,” shared CM Himanta.

In his post, the CM shared a circular from the Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances or DARPG department, detailing the grievances redressed in the first 11 days of July this year.
According to the circular, from July 1 to 11, a total of 90,686 grievances were addressed by Central Ministries and Departments, while States and Union Territories resolved 25,989 grievances.
Assam has successfully addressed 3,192 grievances during this period, showcasing its commitment to maintaining effective public service mechanisms.
