In a significant move to cater to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the technology sector, the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT G) and E&ICT Academy have introduced professional certificate programmes in Data Analytics and Generative AI. These programmes are being offered in collaboration with Simplilearn and will be available online.
Interested candidates can apply for these new certificate programmes on Simplilearn’s official website by July 21. The admission fee for the Generative AI for Data Analytics program is set at Rs 1,19,900, which includes taxes and all applicable charges.
Participants will benefit from live online classes conducted by industry experts, interactive masterclasses from IIT Guwahati faculty, and IBM experts. The programme includes over 25 hands-on projects, campus immersion at IIT Guwahati, hackathons, and “ask me anything” sessions hosted by IBM.
The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including Excel, SQL, programming fundamentals, mathematical and statistical computing, data visualisation with Tableau, generative AI, and prompt engineering.
Moreover, candidates will gain executive alumina status from IIT Guwahati and E&ICT, and access to JobAssist services provided by Simplilearn.
Simplilearn Chief Product Officer Anand Narayanan asserted on the increasing demand for professionals in these fields, noting that according to McKinsey, the need for skilled individuals in data analytics and AI is growing by 50 per cent annually.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of 50 per cent in their undergraduate scorecard.
Prior work experience is not mandatory but encouraged.
Candidates without coding or specific technology experience are also eligible to apply.
The programme aims to accommodate candidates from diverse educational backgrounds, equipping them with essential skills in data analytics and generative AI.
