To curb crimes in this Northeastern State, Tripura administration began a demolition drive against illegal structures at Usha Bazar on July 17.
West Tripura DM and Collector Vishal Kumar stressed on following the State Government’s zero-tolerance policy against crime. He stated individuals involved in smuggling, drug peddling, land mafia activities, or interference in government tenders will face strict consequences, with some already jailed on related charges.
The government is taking action against illegal constructions as per regulations and plans to build a primary health care centre on the cleared site.
Vishal Kumar asserted, “CM Manik Saha and Tripura Government have a policy of zero tolerance against crime. No organisation or person involved in smuggling, drug peddling, land mafia activities, or interference in government tenders will be spared. Strict action will be taken against all those involved.”
He further mentioned, “Some members of this group are already in jail facing allegations. The government has acted against the construction according to rules and plans to build a primary health care centre on this land. Along with punishment, the government has a vision of development in this demolition drive.”
