Satirical comedy enthusiasts have a reason to celebrate as Bidurbhai, a much-anticipated film, makes its debut across Assam. Following the success of its YouTube series, the movie is expected to be released in other cities nationwide. The trailer, released on July 1, quickly gained popularity, leading to high demand from cinema hall owners throughout the State.
During the premiere events in Guwahati and Golaghat, director Suvrat Kakati shared his excitement, saying, “We are happy to bring Bidurbhai to the big screen. We created Bidurbhai just for fun a few years back and were amazed by the love and support we received. I dedicate this movie to the people of my state, as it has come to the big screen purely out of public demand. The journey from a YouTube series to the big screen is more than a dream come true for me and my entire team.”
Produced by Arnab Hazarika under Rootstock Entertainment, Bidurbhai features a talented cast, including Chumki Kachari, Pankaj Mahanta, Ashim Sharma, Neetu Khanikar, Baleen Borah, Trailokya Baruah, Ujjwal Rajkhowa, Rajib Deuri, Hirakjyoti Bordoloi, Snigdha Phukan, Sarmistha Das, Uddipona Borah, Asif Javed, Deepmoni Khataniar, Dhruba Kataki, Tanveer Zehir, and Parthajyoti Sharma.
The story, crafted by Suvrat Kakati and Jyotisman Chetia, is supported by a skilled crew. Kakati serves as the screenwriter, with Hemanta Gogoi and Jyotisman Chetia as assistant directors. Pranay Dutta takes on the role of music director, Bitul Das as director of photography, Uttam Kalita as assistant director of photography, Bijeyeta Patgiri as make-up artist, and Juri Kalita as costume designer.
Following the blockbuster Shri Raghupati last year, Suvrat Kakati’s second film Bidurbhai promises to offer another quality cinematic experience to audiences in Assam.
