Tripura Pradesh BJP president Rajib Bhattacharya criticized Congress and CPIM leaders for lacking policy and agenda, accusing them of engaging in politics for personal gain.
Speaking at a nomination filing rally in Bishalgarh, Sepahijala district, Bhattacharya noted the announcement of Panchayat Election dates by the state election commission, set for August 8, with results on August 12.
“July 18 was the deadline for filing nomination papers. We achieved a 100% completion rate across Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti, and Zila Parishads. Our massive rally demonstrated our support, and we expect a landslide victory on August 12,” Bhattacharya stated.
Responding to opposition allegations of BJP workers preventing candidates, Bhattacharya dismissed the claims, asserting that the opposition lacks workers and public support.
“People support BJP for our developmental work. Congress and CPIM aim for personal gain, often changing political parties. Some Congress leaders might even join BJP again soon,” he added.
