Prime Minister Narendra Modi attracted X social media platform CEO Elon Musk’s attention as the former achieved the milestone of being the most followed world leader on X.
Elon Musk extended his congratulations with a post, “Congratulations PM Narendra Modi on being the most followed world leader!”
PM Modi’s follower count on X recently surpassed 100 million, placing him just behind former US President Barack Obama, who leads with over 131 million followers.
Former US President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee for the 2024 elections, holds the third spot with more than 87 million followers. US President Joe Biden is fourth with over 38 million followers, followed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Hillary Clinton.
In terms of the most followed individuals on X, Elon Musk himself tops the list with over 190 million followers. Obama ranks second, while Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo is third with over 112 million followers. Canadian musician Justin Bieber and Barbadian singer Rihanna follow Ronaldo in the rankings.
