In a positive update for Agniveers, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced their accommodation in various government departments after they return to the State. This move includes provisions for reservations to prioritise their integration.
In a recent meeting with Army officials, former officers, and soldiers, Dhami outlined the plan to provide Agniveers with employment opportunities within State departments, including the police force. The Chief Minister asserted that the State will also implement reservation policies to support these veterans.
Dhami mentioned that if needed, the government will draft legislation to formalise these accommodations, ensuring a structured approach to integrating Agniveers into the State workforce.
