The Sikkim Urban Development department or UDD has secured the second rank in the Performance Recognition for Access to Financial Inclusion and Street Vendors Empowerment (PRAISE-2023-24) Awards for its outstanding performance under the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PMSVANidhi) Scheme.
Sikkim Chief Minister Tamang met with UDD Minister Bhoj Raj Rai and MLA Delay Namgyal Barfungpa at his official residence. UDD Secretary MT Sherpa and Mission Director Jigmee Bhutia also joined the meeting.
Sikkim received the accolade among Hilly and North Eastern States during the PM SVANidhi ‘PRAISE’ Awards 2023-24. The award was presented by Union Urban and Housing Affairs Minister Manohar Lall Khattar at a recently held ceremony at the Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
CM Tamang congratulated the department for their dedication and hard work, encouraging them to strive for continued success.
