Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s eagerly awaited MCU film, Deadpool & Wolverine, directed by Shawn Levy, has achieved significant advance booking sales in Bharat. As of 9:45 am on July 25, the film has sold approximately 2.77 lakh tickets, amassing a gross of nearly Rs 8.04 crore, according to Sacnilk.
The film’s English 3D version leads with the highest number of tickets sold, totalling 1,24,607, and has generated Rs 3.9 crore. The Hindi 3D version follows with 52,050 tickets sold, contributing Rs 0.85 crore. Additionally, the English IMAX 3D version has earned Rs 1.45 crore from 12,821 ticket sales.
Maharashtra tops the regional earnings with Rs 1.63 crore, followed by Delhi with Rs 1.11 crore and Tamil Nadu with Rs 1.27 crore.
Deadpool & Wolverine is set to break records for the highest opening day collection for a Hollywood film in India this year, with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire currently holding the record at Rs 13.25 crore net.
The film, the 34th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, continues the narrative from Deadpool 2 (2018). The cast includes Emma Corrin, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Matthew Macfadyen, Tyler Mane, Shioli Kutsuna, TJ Miller, and Aaron Stanford.
