Amidst a heated Lok Sabha debate, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to X to praise Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing, Ravneet Bittu.
CM Himanta lauded Bittu’s significant intervention, stating, “I am highly impressed by the impactful intervention of Minister of State for Railways & Food Processing in the Government of India, Ravneet Bittu. It is crucial to differentiate between loyalty to the Family and to the Nation. Wishing him a successful tenure!”
The Lok Sabha session was marked by a dramatic confrontation between Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi and BJP MP Ravneet Bittu, resulting in a 30-minute adjournment.
The clash began when Channi, the former Punjab Chief Minister, accused the government of imposing an “undeclared Emergency” on the country. His speech included a defence of Amritpal Singh, a jailed MP from Punjab, and criticisms of the government’s handling of the Sidhu Moose Wala murder and the farmer protests.
The situation escalated when Channi made a contentious remark about Bittu’s late grandfather, former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. This provoked a fiery response from Bittu, who accused Channi of corruption and misleading the public.
