Google has unveiled a creative and interactive doodle to celebrate the start of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Running from July 26 to August 11, the Paris Olympics has sparked excitement across various platforms, with athletes and fans sharing their enthusiasm. The search giant replaced its homepage logo with a vibrant artwork featuring animals participating in summer sports, set to be displayed throughout Friday.
The name of the doodle designer has not been disclosed. Clicking on the doodle directs users to search results related to the latest updates on the Paris Olympics 2024.
The Olympics officially commence today in Paris, with the opening ceremony set to take place on the Seine River. The closing ceremony, featuring a parade of flags and athletes, will occur on August 11.
Preliminary rounds in archery, soccer, handball, and rugby began on July 24, ahead of the opening ceremony. Bharat is represented by 117 competitors in 69 events, including 70 males and 47 females. Among the Indian athletes are javelin star Neeraj Chopra, badminton players PV Sindhu, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, all strong contenders for medals.
Bharat’s Olympic campaign starts with the men’s hockey team’s first pool game against New Zealand on July 27, followed by events in badminton, boxing, shooting, and table tennis.
The event will be broadcast on Sports 18 and the Viacom 18 network, and live-streamed on the JioCinema app for free.
