Assam Rifles marked the Silver Jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas with a meaningful contribution to Brighter English School in Imphal East district’s Terapur, Manipur.
In a gesture of support and recognition, the unit enhanced the school’s infrastructure by installing two new washbasins, aiming to improve hygiene standards for students.
The day’s activities included a painting competition themed ‘Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas 2024,’ where 82 students and six teachers took part. The event also featured refreshments for the attendees.
As part of the celebrations, both students and teachers paid tribute to the courageous soldiers, who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Kargil War. This initiative not only honoured the bravery of the soldiers but also instilled a sense of patriotism among the students while upgrading the school’s facilities.
The school community expressed their sincere appreciation to Assam Rifles for their humanitarian efforts and support.
