In New Delhi, Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlalvena engaged in discussions with Border Management Union Home Secretary Dr Rajendra Kumar addressing the pressing concerns of residents along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Accompanied by Rasik Mohan Chakma, CEM of the Chakma Autonomous District Council, the MP highlighted the escalating problems faced by those living near the border. They shed light on the necessity for immediate consideration of these issues.
The delegation also brought to light the long-neglected road construction by the Border Roads Task Force (BRTF). They urged the Central Government to prioritise and address this longstanding issue.
In addition, the MP and Chakma CEM discussed a proposed project aimed at the development of the Bangladesh border region. Dr Rajendra Kumar assured them that the project would be implemented promptly.
