Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba addressed the Parliament, drawing attention to the ongoing crisis in Manipur. He demanded a comprehensive rehabilitation package and a long-term solution to ensure peaceful co-existence in the state.
During his speech, Sanajaoba noted that while the tension in Manipur is gradually subsiding, the return to normalcy is slow. However, he expressed optimism that a peaceful resolution is within reach.
Sanajaoba conveyed his gratitude to Union leaders and State officials for their steadfast actions and relentless efforts in moving towards a peaceful solution. He urged the Central Government to intensify its efforts, suggesting that with a timely push, the peace process and resettlement initiatives could be accelerated.
“People have suffered enough and they need a respite now. So, I demand the Union Government for a suitable rehabilitation package, a long-term solution for peaceful co-existence, and other necessary arrangements to restore the peaceful and glorious past of Manipur,” Sanajaoba stated.
