Upon his arrival at the Raj Bhawan in Gangtok, the newly-appointed Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur was officially handed over the Warrant of Appointment by State Chief Secretary VB Pathak.
The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including State Director General of Police AK Singh, Additional Chief Secretary R Telang, Secretary of Raj Bhawan JD Bhutia, DC (Gangtok) Tushar Nikhare, Sr SP (Gangtok) Tenzing Loden, and Additional Secretary of Raj Bhawan Khemraj Bhattarai.
Governor Mathur was warmly welcomed with a guard of honour presented by the 13th Battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at the Raj Bhawan.
It is noteworthy that Governor-designate Mathur will be administered the oath of office at Raj Bhawan, Gangtok, on July 31.
