Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has extended financial support to a family grappling with severe health challenges. Recently, the CM met with Mrigakhi Mech, whose two children are enduring significant medical issues.
A few weeks ago, I met Smt Mrigakhi Mech, who told me about her children, Vaibhav and Hiyasvi who are suffering from cardiac ailment and cancer respectively. They spent a large chunk of money on their treatment and are spiritedly supporting their kids in this fight.

Mrigakhi Mech’s son Vaibhav is struggling with a cardiac condition, while her daughter, Hiyasvi, is battling cancer. The family has incurred substantial medical expenses in their fight for the children’s recovery.
Moved by their plight, CM Himanta committed to aiding the family and has since delivered on this promise by providing Rs 5 lakh to help cover ongoing medical costs.
In a heartfelt tweet, the CM expressed his wishes for the children’s swift recovery, “I pray to Almighty for their quick recovery. Get well soon Vaibhav and Hiyasvi!” He also announced his intention to visit the children personally, adding, “Mama will meet you both soon.”
