The Arunachal Pradesh Government has announced a 25 per cent hike in the Tough Location Allowance (TLA) for Karmveers across various levels. The updated allowance will benefit employees in Level 9 and above as well as those in Level 8 and below.
According to the new notification, the TLA for Level 9 and above has been raised from Rs 5,300 to Rs 6,625. For Level 8 and below, the allowance increases from Rs 4,100 to Rs 5,125.
The government highlighted its commitment to the well-being of these employees, ensuring that they are well-compensated for their service in challenging locations.
On July 31, Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Minister Gabriel Denwang Wangshu also provided an update on the State’s horticulture sector. Wangshu announced that a State horticulture policy is in the drafting stages and is expected to be finalised by September this year.
Wangshu, who oversees Horticulture, Dairy Development, and Fisheries, noted that this policy is part of the 24 major initiatives introduced by the Pema Khandu Government following its re-election.
“The goal is to complete the State horticulture policy by September,” Wangshu said. He added that the policy aims to promote self-reliance in producing disease-free and high-quality planting materials through certified nurseries and plant tissue culture.
