In a notable achievement for Assam, Mridu Pawan Das, a 2004-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, has been appointed as Bharat’s next High Commissioner to Rwanda.
Currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, Das is set to take on his new role shortly.
The Central Government announced his appointment on July 30, 2024. As High Commissioner, Mridu Pawan Das will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening the diplomatic relations between India and Rwanda, a key partner in East Africa.
