Adani Group’s one of the key players Ambuja Cements Limited has announced its maiden project in Bihar with a significant ₹1,600 crore investment in the Warisaliganj Cement Grinding Unit. This venture represents the largest investment in the State’s cement sector to date.
The new facility, located in Mosama village, Warisaliganj tehsil of Nawada district, will have a total capacity of 6 MTPA and will be developed in three phases. The initial phase, involving a 2.4 MTPA capacity, is set to commence by December 2025, with an investment of ₹1,100 crore.
Strategically positioned close to Warisaliganj railway station and State Highway-83, the site is well-connected and primed for future expansion at a reduced cost. The project is expected to enhance Bihar’s infrastructure and align with goals outlined in the recent Union Budget.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar emphasised the investment’s role in Bihar’s growth and sustainable development, while Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with Industry Minister Nitish Mishra, supported the initiative.
