Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath are scheduled to visit Tripura to inaugurate the Shanti Kali Temple in Barkathal village, West Tripura on August 27.
Former MP Rebati Tripura confirmed their visit, stating that a review meeting took place under the supervision of Padma Shri awardee Chittaranjan Maharaj. The meeting, held at the temple site, was attended by Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma and Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
Discussions focused on the inauguration preparations, which will see the arrival of Assam CM Himanta and Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath, along with Tripura counterpart Dr Manik Saha.
Chittaranjan Maharaj had previously invited Yogi Adityanath during the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. While Assam CM Himanata’s attendance is confirmed, final confirmation from Adityanath is still awaited.
