The National Investigation Agency (NIA), as part of its ongoing investigation into the blast that rocked Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru, conducted a detailed spot inspection on Monday. Two primary suspects, Abdul Matheen and Musavir Husain, were brought to the site to help reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the explosion.
To ensure safety and maintain order during the inspection, over 50 police personnel were stationed around the cafe. This measure was crucial to prevent any disruptions and ensure a smooth inspection process by the NIA.
An official stated, “A team of NIA probing the Rameshwaram Cafe blast came here this morning at the cafe for spot inspection along with two of the accused as part of their internal investigation into the case.”
The NIA took charge of the investigation on March 3 and subsequently arrested Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa and Mussavir Hussain Shazib on April 12. The suspects were apprehended from a hideout in Kolkata, where they had been living under assumed identities.
