In July, Assam distinguished itself by addressing 7,430 citizen grievances, securing the second-highest position in the nation for resolving such cases. This achievement showcases the State’s commitment to effective grievance redressal.
From January to July of this year, Assam has resolved a total of 30,572 cases, placing it third in the country for the same period. Despite the progress, 9,012 cases remain pending.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted this achievement on X, expressing satisfaction with the state’s continued performance in addressing citizen concerns. He noted, “I am happy to share that like previous months, in July also Assam has been one of the top states in grievance redressal of its citizens.”
In addition to the grievance redressal success, CM Himanta recently announced a notable increase in the State’s credit deposit (CD) ratio. Over the past 3-4 years, the CD ratio has surged from 32 per cent to 58 per cent, reflecting a significant boost in financial engagement within the state.
Himanta Sarma described this improvement as a “very significant achievement,” asserting on its importance as an indicator of economic health.
