Actor-turned-politician and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has sharply criticised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi over his endorsement of the latest Hindenburg Research report. In a post on X, Ranaut branded Gandhi as the “most dangerous man” for allegedly attempting to destabilise Bharat’s security and economy.
Ranaut accused Gandhi of harbouring a destructive agenda, suggesting that his motive is to undermine the nation if he cannot become Prime Minister. She dismissed the Hindenburg report, which targets the Indian stock market and questions the integrity of SEBI chairperson Madhabi Buch, as “a damp squib.” Ranaut further told Gandhi to prepare for a lifetime in Opposition, accusing him of being a “disgrace” to the nation.
Gandhi had raised alarms about the Indian stock market’s integrity in light of the Hindenburg Research allegations, on Sunday. He highlighted concerns about potential conflicts of interest involving SEBI’s head, Madhabi Puri Buch, and demanded her resignation. Gandhi argued that the report’s serious allegations of illegal share ownership and price manipulation by the Adani group indicate a compromised regulatory framework.
Using a cricket analogy, Gandhi questioned why Buch has not yet resigned, implying that her continued position undermines the credibility of the regulatory oversight.
